Mermaid Release Notes v1.2.0.12

The latest release of Mermaid is now available and we have a useful new feature with the addition of map import. As always we are keen to hear any feedback or ideas you may have for the future development of Mermaid.

Why not kick it off at one of our upcoming online training programmes? Please get in touch if you’d like to be part of it. Each training programme consists of three 2-hour sessions. The next course is running on:

25th, 26th and 27th of April, 10am to 12 midday UTC.

New Features

MM-2109: Copy maps and metocean data from one analysis to another.

We have added importing maps and metocean data from another MER file. This will allow you to save time when setting up simulations by using geographical and weather data from other sources, for example another operation or a library file you have previously have set up for this purpose.

To use the map import, select the import icon on the right-hand side of the Map tab and direct Mermaid to the file you wish to import from. You can import any locations, routes, metocean data, shapefiles and geotiffs from the existing file. Mermaid will prompt you to resolve any potential conflicts that it finds with any information you have already entered into your current map.

Improvements

MM-1331: New tasks, groups, and vessels should have unique names instead of blank.

MM-2124: Undo / Redo doesn’t select Vessel.

MM-2143: Warn when filename or pathname is too long.

MM-2121: Parse metocean csv data with non-standard characters

MM-1867: Error before run if the ‘_Output.zip’ exists

Bug-fixes

MM-2145: UI display error with wind limit on port access.

MM-2143: Unexpected failure when dealing with very long filenames.

MM-2142: Individual runs that fail do not increment the runs completed progress bar.

MM-2141: Edge case with parallel operations and storms using incorrect vessel commitments
